World Health Care Congress Europe 2011

Spending today and tomorrow at the World Health Care Congress Europe 2011 to chair a session on Personalised Medicine and to lead a networking luncheon on Patient Centric Care - Placing Patient at the Core Centre First. It is a bit sad that patient centric care is still something so rare that its the theme of a networking luncheon instead of the very basis of all care.

  1. Don't worry Kajsa, patients today are different form those of yesterday. They know what they need and can compare it to what they get. Genomic progress is also putting individuals at the center of therapeutic action. The days of paternalistic rationed system-centered care are (almost) over. Patient centric care will be back with us sooner than we think.
